Incomplete Applications
If your application is incomplete you will receive an email requesting the missing documentation and/or payment(s) and, from that date, will have 4 weeks to complete the request. If ²ÝÁñÉçÇø does not receive the missing documents/payment(s) within 4 weeks, any course outlines submitted will be deleted from our records, any transfer fee charges will be reversed on your account, and you will need to resubmit your application. Any official transcripts received by ²ÝÁñÉçÇø will become part of your official student record and will not have to be resubmitted.
Review Timelines
From the date ²ÝÁñÉçÇø has received your completed application (including: fee payment, detailed course outlines and transcripts) the transfer credit review process can take up to 12 weeks.

Transfer Requests for Graduation
If you are planning on using transfer credit towards your graduation requirements, the following timelines apply and are applicable for the term you're completing your program in.
Transfer Application Deadline
Spring: End of the 1st week of April
Intersession: End of the 1st week of July
Fall: End of the 1st week of December
Official Transcript Deadline
Spring: End of the 1st week of May
Intersession: End of the first week of August
Fall: End of the 1st week of January
Time Limit for Transfer Credit
A student has 10 years to complete all courses required for a credential at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø including transfer credit. Courses greater than 10 years old will not be counted towards credential requirements, but may be used towards pre-requisites. Programs may set shorter timeframes that replace this requirement. Please refer to the policy for more information.
Residency Rate Requirements
There is a limit on the number of transfer credits you can use to complete your program. For the majority of the programs the following residency rate requirements apply:
- Students may transfer up to 75% of the credits or equivalents to ²ÝÁñÉçÇø if the credits are within the province of British Columbia.
- Students may transfer up to 50% of the credits or equivalent to ²ÝÁñÉçÇø if the credits are from outside the province of British Columbia.
- Residency rates that differ from the College Credentials Policy E-1.10 are set by departments to fulfill their program and/or regulatory body requirements.
Types of Transfer Credit
Direct (Assigned) Credit
When ²ÝÁñÉçÇø has an equivalent course to the one being reviewed for transfer credit, the student will receive direct course credit which may be used towards meeting prerequisites or specific program completion requirements.
Unassigned Credit
When ²ÝÁñÉçÇø does not have an equivalent course, unassigned credit may be assigned. Unassigned credit is granted at the appropriate level and may be used towards meeting elective requirements.
